Maddi is a book and print designer whose practice is rooted in the craft, structure, and materiality of the printed page. Her work is led by a strong typographic sensibility and a commitment to process—exploring the tactile potential of print through letterpress, bookbinding, and hands-on making. She creates thoughtful, concept-driven pieces that are precise, enduring, and built with care.

With an MA in Book Design from the University of Reading, Maddi brings a deep understanding of typographic systems and editorial structure to her work, treating the book as both a functional object and a space for visual and material exploration. Alongside her independent practice, she has worked across editorial design, brand identity, accessibility-focused communication, and international catalogue production—bringing creative depth and practical rigour to every project. She is also a member of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, and is dedicated to meaningful, well-crafted design that honours the traditions of print while looking to its future.

MA project
125 x 187 mm
Reclaimed waste paper
Japanese hemp leaf binding

A hybrid publication exploring the disjointed narratives and emotional overwhelm surrounding environmental crisis. Combining print and digital formats, the project embraces fragmentation as a structural and thematic device. QR codes embedded throughout the printed piece link to external digital material—mimicking the frustration of searching for reliable climate information in an over-saturated and often contradictory online environment.
